PKMetal 80's-style heavy metal is easy to come by. Speed metal is also fairly common. If you want thrash, swing a cat. But this album celebrates one of the rarest and best stages of metal evolution: proto-speed! Vortize does it about as well as it's ever been done, with plenty of unique touches. Loving it! Favorite track: Cuestionamiento.

Maximum Jack I didn't know what to expect when I heard this. Definitely not one of my favorite records of 2022, but so it is. I love the guitar combos, and none of the vocals are cheesy because I don't understand them, which also adds to their awesomeness. Great variety of tempos. Favorite track: Cuestionamiento.

dcdirkzwager Well, that's a first, a whistled solo. And it fits This is the kind of old school metal that puts a smile on my face. Favorite track: Mundo Bipolar.

Duck your head when you're passing through the intersection of Retro Prog and Tech Thrash, lest you get clapped by the Hammers of Misfortune. Great stuff, and spooky.
